Where I'm At...

This post is going to be brutally honest.  Not like the others weren't, because they were, but this post is going to be personal and open.  I haven't blogged as much as I had initially intended to when I started this blog in January.  First of all school got really busy in March and lasted through until it was over in April.  And now that May's here my life has literally turned upside down overnight.  There is so much going on, and it's honestly been exhausting.  Word's I never thought I'd hear again were spoken and they have taken all I've known and dreamed up and kind of crushed it all.  At this point I can't actually say what is going on, but in time it will come.  And that has added allot of stress to my life.  Not being able to talk to anyone about what's going on in my life is hard.  The pain has built up to the point where I feel like I'm going to explode.  And at times I've honestly just fallen apart.

I know God is in control of everything, and I know He's holding me in the palm of His hand, but I guess I've still been finding it hard to trust that everything will work out.

I can't stand rollercoasters, yet I'm riding on a wild one right now.  And just when the last one finally ended!  :(

I guess I better stop writing before I say something I shouldn't...

Here's a song that I've been listening to over and over and over again over the past few days.  It's ministered to me, and maybe it will minister to you as well.  Though I don't know most of you, thanks for 'listening'... God bless everyone of you!

Enjoy The Blossoms

I can't believe it's been so long since I've posted...time just keeps getting away from me.

Speaking of time, that's what has been on my mind lately.  I've lived in my current city for around 10 years, and for all those 10 years the seasons have come and gone, and this spring I realized that I have overlooked the beauty of each season.  Life tends to be busy.  People come and go and it's easy to look past the little miracles/beauty of each day.  About a month ago I looked outside and noticed all the fruit trees blossoming.  It was beautiful.  But I found myself thinking about the past springs.  Why had I not taken the time to enjoy the blossoms while they were in bloom?  So, this year I decided that I was going to enjoy them for as long as they were in bloom.

Life has the potential to change in an instant and who knows how many years or days we'll have to enjoy the small things such as the blossoms on the fruit trees.  I know in my life there's allot of stuff going on.  Being in my early twenties there are decisions about my future that need to be made.  And some of those decisons may one day end up taking me away from all I've known.  With that in mind I've made the choice to take everything in and enjoy what I have around me right now.  Life can change in the blink of an eye and all we've ever known can be turned upside down.  I've seen this to be so true and instead of taking people or places for granted, I want to be able to look back on my life and know that I enjoyed every little miracle a day brought.

So, let's enjoy the blossoms :)

To update the photos on my last post (they were plum and cherry blossoms) here are the apple blossoms:

Mckmama's "A Little iPad With A Big Purpose" Giveaway!

Sorry I've been kind of 'missing in action' lately.  Life's been crazy the past couple weeks.  My mind has been preoccupied with finishing school with good grades and some other more serious extended family matters.  I hope to be back here soon (and finish my Easter discussion!)

School is officially over so now I just have a few exams, and a couple of papers to do in the next week and then I should be back!

But I wanted to let you participate in a really neat giveaway my online "friend" is doing...

It's only open to US residents (too bad for us Canadians!), so in case I have any US readers, here's the giveaway contest:

Mckmama is giving away an iPad, but it's not just any ordinary givaway - she wanted to raise money for Compassion International's Child Survival Program!!  I'll let her explain all the rest!!  Check it out!  It goes until Midnight EST, so hurry on over there and see how you can help Children around the world and possibly win an iPad!

At The Cross, I am Changed...

I guess this weekend has been a bit busier than I expected, so I haven't finished my post on the Cross.  It's coming though, eventually.

I really wanted to post this song with my continuation of my previous post on the Cross, but I guess I'll give you the post backwards...song/video first, than the writing.

I hadn't heard this song before, and I'd love to find out who wrote/sings it.  It's beautiful!

Good Friday

I found two videos for today.  The first video is the traditional version of "Via Dolorosa."  The second is a rap, and while I'm not usually the type of person to listen to raps, I found this one pretty interesting.  It's fun and clearly describes what happened on "Good Friday."  And of course, it doesn't end there, so listen to it to hear the end, which is my favorite part :)

Also, stay tuned as I hope to finish my thoughts on the cross today!

The Grave Could Not Hold The King!!!

Today's song is Arise My Love by Newsong.  Again, this is one of my favourite songs!  (There are just too many good ones to have a real favourite :)

The entire song is amazing, but my favourite part is the bridge.  It's just so powerful!
