M.O.V.E.

It feels like forever since I last wrote a post!  I kind of feel like I've been neglecting it :(  It's not that I've been trying to put my blog to the side, I just haven't had anything much to write about.  I guess it could be classified as "Bloggers Rut" or whatever you more full time bloggers call it!

I think awhile ago I wrote about feeling like I'm living in a dream.  Well, surprise, surprise...I STILL feel that way.  It's a horrible feeling.  I don't like how I feel like I'll be here forever, yet in the back of my brain, I know time is really quickly slipping away.

I haven't done everything I've wanted to do.  I haven't seen everyone I wanted to see.  I haven't lived here long enough...

When I was younger my sisters and I were in a Cantata that was about time.  There were orphans in an orphanage and the lady that took care of them made them fix clocks for a living.  Anyway, there was a song we (the orphans) sang about how they disliked "time."  During that time we found out we would be moving to our current city.  My sister and I changed the song...  This is how it went:

Move is a four letter word, and it's all that we've heard since the day we were born.  Move, the idea is absurd.  This four letter word called move....

There's more to it, and it may seem a bit cheesy, but that's how we felt.  And, as cheesy as it seems, I feel that way once again.  The only thing that is different is that this time I had to choose...  But I figured it was best to stay out of debt and go than get in debt and stay.  I'm really regretting my decision now.

The closer I get to next week, the more scared, nervous, broken, and sad I get.  I never use the word hate, but honestly, I HATE this feeling!  The worst part about it is that I feel like we're just preparing to go on holidays like we do every year and then we will get to come HOME.  Unfortunately, we won't get to come home ever again...  That hurts.

I wish I had a good reason to stay here...but maybe one day I will and I can come HOME!  But for now, I must go some place I never dreamed would be my parent's "home."

I guess I'm ranting now.  Sorry for that :(  It's just this is how my life is now, and since this blog is about my journey of life, I guess it's fitting for me to share about this journey.  This journey that's going to take me 2 provinces away, and I PRAY back again.

Passion Vancouver 2010!!!

Passion World Tour 2010

In 2008 I was priviledged to be able to attend Passion Vancouver, and when I found out it would be happening again this November, I was thrilled!!  (You can read a little bit about my memories here)

Since I had such a great experience the first time, and since the purpose of the tour is so awesome, I thought I would let you all know about it!  If you live close enough (BC, AB, SK, Washington, etc), and if you are between the ages of 18-25, I would encourage you to attend!  Once again we are anticipating a GREAT time worshipping the Lord!!

"Something Greater is on the way..."

Still Alive!!

Hello everyone!!

I can't believe it's been so long since my last post!  I've been without my computer for about 2 weeks now, so everytime I've wanted to post I haven't been able to. :(  (It's probably been good for me though...It forces me to be out and about enjoying my beautiful city and province!)

Anyway, I just wanted to quickly check in and let you all know I'm still alive and I haven't forgotten about my blog!

When I get my computer back, I'll upload some photos of a daytrip my family and I took to a gorgeous park nearby.  But until then, I'd love to hear what you have been doing to enjoy this summer!  Feel free to let me know about it in the comment section of this post!

Not Like This...

It was never supposed to be like this...

An ending so quick and hard...

A dream blown into the wind...

All hopes crashed...

BUT, God is faithful.

And I am so grateful for the chance He's giving...

To you, my dad, to begin afresh...

This journey's almost over, and a new one's about to begin...

I love you!

Not Me Monday

Mckmama- Not Me Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

Yesterday was Sunday.  The Sunday before Canada Day to be exact, so my church decided to have a pancake breakfast and outdoor service.  It was a nice day, and seeing that I am not a strawberry blond with really pale skin, I did not figure it wasn't warm enough to wear sunscreen.  With the wind blowing, I did not think that an hour and half outside would be short enough to stay outside unprotected from the actually very harsh sun.

When we got to church and my mom asked if I wanted the sunscreen, I definitely did not say no, and I was not too ashamed to put the strong smelling lotion on my back.  No, I have more common sense than that.

So now, I am NOT dealing with the after effects of the worst sunburn I've had in my entire life...Nope, not me!

Here's my back:  (Sorry it's such a bad picture...I was trying to use the mirror so I could capture the full burn...)

I couldn't get a good picture of my left arm.  The burn is so big that every picture I took only showed red.

So, so finish this Not Me Monday Post...

I did not learn a lesson about the truth about how pride goes before a fall...

Watching Them Grow

Back in April, and May I posted some pictures of the fruit blossoms in my yard.  You can see the photos here and here.

Over the past 2 months I've been 'watching' the fruit grow (another part of my love for gardening) and so I thought I would share some photos with you.  So here is the fruit (as of today)...
